Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a protest that turned bad when redcoats (British troops in the colonies) began firing upon patriots(people who though that they were better off independent) gathered at Boston Square on March 5th, 1770 to show their anger on the Townshend act . The event that turned mobs into armies, the massacre was probably the main event leading to the Revolutionary War. The redcoats killed about 5 patriot, and 9 redcoats were punished for their rash actions.
