Flint Musket
Flintlock muskets were widely used in the Revolutionary War by the Continental Army. These were some of the first long-range weapons ever used in combat. Safer than hand to hand combat, and more terrifying in battle, these were inaccurate and took a long time to reload allowing the target of fire to advance. To solve this frequent problem, the bayonet, a blade attached to the muzzle, was created.
