Proclamtion of 1763
After the French and Indian War, King George III administered the Proclamation of 1763 to reassure Indians that the colonists would not invade and capture their territory. Even after he stated this, he knew that the colonists would not respect these boundaries, so he put up posts on the boarders of the colonies. Even then, the colonists became interested in the fur trade, causing the King to remove the borders.
