Treaty of parIs
The Treaty of Paris was signed in Paris and stated that America was an independent nation on September 3rd, 1783 after 7 years of negotiation. This was the document that ended the Revolutionary War and allowed the now independent America to ignore taxes administered by Britain and to have it's own government and laws. This was the end of the war, but only truly the beginning of the United States of America.
